In order to use the services of the Charles University libraries, every employee must have an ID issued at one of the card service centres of CU Point and must set the password for the Central Authentication Service (a temporary password is provided on paper at the card service centre with instructions on how to change the password).

To use traditional lending services of the Charles University libraries you need to consent to central registration.

To use access to electronic resources and databases (see overview here), you only need to know your password for the Central Authentication Service.
