BALKAN ROUND TABLE

Hayde! Hajde! Haidem! Ajde! Χαιντέ! Хайде! Айде... Come and sit at the Balkan Round Table!

Are you an international scientific researcher who is employed at Charles University and comes from the Balkan peninsula, or a local student of Balkan, Greek, or Turkish Studies at the same institution? If so, we cordially invite you to the Balkan Round Table, a special networking gathering designed to bring our community closer together!

Whether you come from the widely defined geographical region of the Balkan Peninsula including Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia or Türkiye, are studying one of the regional languages, or are simply interested in this region and its culture, read more about the event below.

This event, organized by the Staff Welcome Centre, is part of our ongoing efforts to create integration activities for international researchers and aims to connect the two groups that share not only the knowledge of the regional languages but also an affiliation with Charles University. If you are eager to exchange experiences about academic life, share insights on living in the Czech Republic and studying various languges of the Balkan peninsula, or simply enjoy an evening of good company and practice the language, this event is for you!
