Opera Rusalka

In April the CU Staff Welcome Centre and the Alumni Club invite the international employees and alumni to opera performance at the National Theatre in Prague. You will get the opportunity to experience a Czech opera masterpiece in the interior of the most famous Czech theatre.

Opera Rusalka is one of the world’s loveliest operas in a profound and meditative production abounding in mysterious symbols, magic light and fabulous music.

You may drown in the fantastic story, and the characters of the wood nymphs, the water goblin and the witch are of a fairytale ilk. Yet, Dvořák’s masterpiece bears in its scenes an enciphered profound message about the entire order of forces, elements, energies and passions in the natural, and therefore also human, world. Do not worry about your Czech, the performance is with subtitles in case you get lost.

The tickets are for free and their amount is limited, the tickets will be distributed on a first-come first-served basis.

Each person (international employee or alumni) is entitled to one ticket only.

All you need to do is register!

Schedule of the event: April 12, 2022, from 7 to approx. 10.20 pm. There will be 2 intermissions.
